A funeral for Zola Bridges, 97, a Madera, Calif., resident for the past nine years, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Jay Chapel in Madera. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time.

A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Lone Mountain Cemetery.

Mrs. Bridges died Dec. 17, 2003. She was born in Joplin, Mo.

Before moving to Madera, she lived in Carson City for 20 years. She was a member of the Baptist Church in Carson City and the Madera Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl in 1986.

Among her survivors are her son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Eugenia Young of Madera; brother, Arthur Vaughn of Westminster, Calif.; sister, Chloe Kindred of Reno; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

Jay Chapel in Madera is in charge of arrangements.
