A service for Geneva Belle "Rocking Granny" Noland, 73, a Carson City resident for the past 38 years, will be at 11 a.m. Sunday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.

Visitation will be from 10-11:30 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Noland died Dec. 21, 2003, in Carson City. She was born Aug. 28, 1930, in Strathmore, Calif., to Guy and Lela A. Petty Schultz. She attended high school in Strathmore.

She married Leslie T. Noland Feb. 14, 1938, in Strathmore. Before moving to Carson City, she lived at Lake Tahoe.

Mrs. Noland was owner-operator of Geneva's Ceramics in Carson City. She loved karaoke and performed as "Rocking Granny." She was also in the Senior Follies in 2002 and 2003 and was on local television on "Silver State Starmakers."

She was preceded in death by her husband, and son Carey.

Among her survivors are her sons and daughters-in-law Leslie and Susan of Stagecoach and Michael and Kathy of Bakersfield, Calif.; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Frank Jorgenson of Bountiful, Utah; sister, Margie Moore of Bakersfield; and four grandchildren.

Burial will be in Walton's Carson Gardens Cemetery.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
