Three men were in custody Friday following an armed robbery in which the bandits made off with little more than $5.

Sergio Avila, 26, a mechanic; Jose Agustin Avila-Ruiz, 19, a laborer; and Jose Avila, 23, are being held in the Carson City Jail on charges of felony robbery.

According to the police report, the victim said he was followed home from Taco Bell by three subjects in a white Chevy Nova on Thursday.

Once there, the victim said, the men threatened to hurt him if he did not repay a $20 debt, the report states.

"The victim told me that one of the subjects, later identified as Jose Medina, showed him a gun he had in his waistband and told the victim to give him all the money he did have," Dep. Wayne Gray wrote in his report.

According to the report, the victim gave the men a $5 bill and some change.

"He complied with them because he was afraid they would use the gun on him," Gray wrote.

As they left, the men allegedly told the victim not to call police because "they knew where he lived and worked."

The three men are being held on $10,000 bail each.
