Obituary: Robert Phillip Gregg

Robert Phillip Gregg, a 23-year resident of Carson City, died Jan. 29, 2003, at his home in Carson City. He was born Aug. 20, 1943 in Bail, Maine, to Phillip and Margaret McCallister Earl. He was 59.

Mr. Gregg earned a master's degree in business administration from Rutgers University in New Jersey in 1967.

A former newspaper editor and small-businessman, "Big Bob" enjoyed traveling and bringing his trips home in pictures.

He was a member of the Elks Lodge in Carson City.

Prior to moving to Carson City he lived in Knoxville, Tenn., from 1974-1980 and in Springfield, N.J., from 1943-1970.

Among his survivors are his daughter and son-in-law Susan and Christopher Arnold of Silver Springs.

Walton's Sierra Crematory is in charge of cremation.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
