Charles Alan Phillips, 71, a Minden resident for the past two years, died Feb. 7, 2003, at home. He was born Nov. 24, 1931, in Fall River, Mass., to Harriet Sweet.
He married Anne Lavallee on Oct. 19, 1957, in Plainfield, Conn.
Before moving to Minden, he lived in Rhode Island.
Mr. Phillips was a professor at a community college and taught several courses part-time at Western Nevada Community College.
Among his survivors are his wife Anne of Minden; daughter Kristen Petersen of Riverside, Ill.; sons David of Salt Lake City, Michael of North Smithfield, R.I., John of Norwalk, Conn., and James of Providence, R.I.; and eight grandchildren.
A private family service will be at a later date.
