Results of the Wildhorse Derby

The President's Day weekend, trout, ice fishing derby at Wildhorse Reservoir was held on Saturday-Sunday-Monday.


Steve Epling of the Wildhorse Resort reported, "The big winners were Erin Hughes and Rod Woolridge, both of Elko. They really cleaned up on both the derby and on the door prizes. The weather has been nice. We got a little snow on Sunday but it melted off on Monday."


The derby winners were:


Saturday:


First: Ray Scissors of Elko -- 18 5/8 inch rainbow trout.


Second: Steve Heinemann of Elko -- 18 1/8 inch rainbow.


Third: Erin Hughes of Elko -- 18 1/8 inches.


Fourth: John Rooney of Elko -- 17 5/8.


Sunday:


First: Dennis Hulse of Sacramento, Calif. -- 17 5/8 inch rainbow trout.


Second: Rod Woolridge of Elko -- 17 1/2 inch rainbow.


Third: Erin Hughes -- 17 1/2 inches.


Fourth: Erin Hughes -- 17 1/4.


Monday:


First: Rod Woolridge -- 18 inch rainbow trout.


Second: Rod Woolridge -- 16 3/4 inch rainbow.


Third: Hal Osteller of Battle Mt. -- 15 5/8 inches.


Fourth: Darren Tognini of Elko -- 15 1/2.
