A service for Eddie Raymond Martinez, 41, a Gardnerville resident, will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Manteca, Calif.
Mr. Martinez died Jan. 19, 2003, in Reno. He was born March 24, 1961, in Oakland, Calif., to Eddie E. and Sandra Martinez.
He graduated from Dublin High School in California in 1979. He attended the U.S. Naval Academy for three years.
Before moving to Gardnerville, he lived in Dublin, Calif.
Mr. Martinez worked in roofing and construction. He was an avid Oakland Raiders fan.
Among his survivors are his daughter, Alicia M. Martinez; son, Eddie R. Martinez III; his parents; sister, Sabrina Ross; brother, Andre Martinez; three nephews; and one niece.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hope Hospice.
Walton's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
