Holiday closures slated

There will be no public bus service between Carson City and Reno on the Fourth of July.

The PRIDE bus is just one of many services that will not be available to Carson City residents on Friday's holiday.

Federal, city and county offices are closed for the holiday, as are the offices of the Nevada Appeal.

Libraries in Minden, Zephyr Cove and Carson City are closed for the holiday.

Carson City's library will reopen at 10 a.m. on Saturday.

The Carson City Marriage Bureau, 885 East Musser St., will be open for the holiday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Also open on Friday will be many of Carson City's museums, including the Nevada State Railroad Museum, the Nevada State Museum and the Children's Museum of Northern Nevada.
