Aaron Heberger of the Carson City Rodeo Club helped Nevada place fourth in the Silver State Rodeo held this past weekend in Fallon.

Heberger, of Washoe Valley, teamed with Virgin Valley's Lori Hardy to place second in team roping. The rodeo featured more than 500 competitors from 11 states and two Canadian provinces. Utah won the team title with 7,250 points. California was second (5,160), Oregon was third (4,485) and Nevada was fourth (2,750).

The top finishers at the Nevada State Championships in Wells who didn't qualify for the National High School Rodeo Finals qualified for the Silver State event. The top four finishers at state qualified for nationals.

Heberger also qualified for nationals to be held July 21-27 in Farmington, N.M. by placing third in calf roping.
