Obituary: Floyd A. Siler

Floyd A. Siler, 83, a Carson City resident for the past 20 years, died July 4, 2003, at Evergreen Health Care Center. He was born Jan. 17, 1920, in Hettinger, N.D., to Alfred and Minnie Wier Siler.

He married Pauline Shields Feb. 20, 1954, in Reno.

Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Sunnyvale, Calif.

Mr. Siler was a logistics analyst for Lockheed Missiles and Space Co.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean War.

Among his survivors are his wife, Pauline of Carson City; sons Jon of Silver Springs and Scott of Reno; daughter, Linda Wheeler of Carson City; brother, Grant of Jenison, Mich.; sister, Vera Kukowski of Wibaux, Mont.; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

No service is scheduled.
