Champion racing action continues today

Champion Motor Speedway on Saturday will feature Scholtzskys Nite presented by Carson City Toyota with the return of the Les Schwab S'CoolBus thrill rides for all Kids Klub members.


Also on tap are the Western Modifieds, Limited Late Models, Legends, TagTeam Bombers and the first-ever Queen Beez (powder puff) race. The Queen Beez feature females taking to the high banks in Hustlin Hornets. Also in action is the FastFour Trophy Dash series and the Ponderosa Stamp & Engraving kids bicycle races at 6:30 p.m. All members of the Kids Klub ages 5-12 are encouraged to bring their bicycles and helmets and race around the track for a trophy.


Fun Jumpers Earnhardt Memorial Park will present the bounce house pavilion and other activities for the Kids Klub members.


Showing at all five Thunder Theater locations will be the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series live from the Kentucky Speedway in Sparta, Ky.


Pits open at 3 p.m., front gate opens at 5 and the show starts at 7. Adults are $9, seniors 55-older and military with photo ID are $7, teens 13-18 are $5, juniors 6-12 are $3 and kids 5-younger are free. Event parking is always free.
