The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:
-- Mike Mancillas, 34, a maintenance worker from Carson City, was arrested at 7:40 a.m. Thursday on suspicion of gross misdemeanor child abuse. He allegedly struck a 12-year-old boy in the mouth and head. Mancillas bail was set at $2,500.
-- An 18-year-old unemployed Carson City man was arrested at 3:50 p.m. Thursday in the 1800 block of Franklin Street on suspicion of misdemeanor assault. He allegedly threw a glass bottle from a moving vehicle at a pedestrian. Bail was set at $620.
