Q-Tip: Blue Lakes Road controls

That general area includes the following lakes: Upper and Lower Blue, Upper and Lower Lost, Lily Pad, Meadow, Upper and Lower Sunset, Summit, Tamarack, Twin and Wet Meadow.


Visitors to that area will experience construction delays throughout the entire summer.


Construction work is allowed seven days a week, during both daytime (7 a.m. to 7 p.m.) and nighttime (7 p.m. to 7 a.m. ) on three sections of the Blue Lakes Road, but nighttime construction will not occur on the remainder of the road.


Emergency vehicles are allowed through the construction site without delay.


No construction delays will occur between Friday 2 p.m. and Sunday 10 p.m., but the following delays have been scheduled:


Sunday-Thursday: 10 p.m. - 7 a.m. - up to 2 hours.


Friday: Midnight to 7 a.m. - up to 2 hours.


Monday-Thursday: 7 a.m. - 10 p.m. - up to 30 minutes.


Friday: 7 a.m. - 2 p.m. - up to 30 minutes.


Monday - Thursday: 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. - up to 2 hours for rock blasting.


No construction will occur on these two summer holiday periods:


Fourth of July: Thursday July 3, from noon until Monday, July 7, at 8 a.m.


Labor Day: Friday, Aug. 29 from noon until Tuesday, Sept., 2, at 8 a.m.
