A memorial service for Joan Ann Koehler, 63, of Auburn, Calif., will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Gall Catholic Church in Gardnerville.
Mrs. Koehler died June 24, 2003, in Carson City. She was born Jan. 29, 1940, in New Ulm, Minn., to Alex and Thelma Uren Barthel.
She graduated from Richmond, Calif., High School.
She married James Koehler on Oct. 25, 1958, in St. Paul's Church in San Pablo, Calif.
Before moving to Auburn, she lived in Hercules, Calif., and San Pablo.
Mrs. Koehler was a homemaker. She was a past member of the Firebelles at Lake of the Pines.
Among her survivors are her husband of Auburn; daughters Jeannie Garcia, Pam Minchillo and Kathy Sewel; grandchildren Desiree, Marty, Rickie, Victor, Nicholas and Haley; mother, Thelma Barthel; and sister, Ruth Stafford.
Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to any local Humane Society.
