Obituary: Virginia Orcutt

A graveside service for Virginia Orcutt, 82, a 20-year-resident of Carson City, will be 9 a.m. July 7 at Oakwood Memorial Park in Chatsworth, Calif.

Mrs. Orcutt died June 19 at Northern Nevada Medical Hospital in Sparks.

Born in Moline, Ill., on May 29, 1921, she lived for many years in California before moving to Carson City.

She was a real estate investor and was active in the Republican party and many community events. She was involved in establishing the Carson City skateboard park.

Mrs. Orcutt is survived by a son, Darrell Wanner; a sister, Vivian Barmann; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Contributions may be made to the Boys & Girls Club of Western Nevada or the World Wildlife Fund in Mrs. Orcutt's name.
