Wow! You truly don't have to be bored in Carson City for the next couple of weekends.

It's back-to-back fun between the Lions' all-you-can-eat crab feed and Kiwanis' Hawaiian Nights in Paradise with Polynesian dancers. More information listed below on all the fun, food and dancing.

Coming up April 5 is Soroptimist International's Comedy Night. This is the only fund-raiser of the year for this group, so you can count on these comedians to be funnier than ever. Ladies, grab a gentleman and get some tickets -- or a change of pace take him out for a good laugh.

Also, the Women's Lawyers Association has stepped in to help the annual Easter Shoe Drive by sponsoring all 61 students at the Gleason pre-kindergarten program. Each student will receive new shoes for Easter. This association does not get much attention, however, it has been around since 1978. The Reno-Sparks chapter joined the Partners in Education Program with Traner Middle School in Sparks to help form field trips for women's athletics, a mother-daughter clothes closet and other activities to help young women achieve educational and career opportunities. Next week, more on the Carson chapter and how you can join.
