Fernley High's Matt Leestma and Dayton's Ryan Rodriguez had impressive efforts in a Northern 3A golf tournament at Dayton.
Leestma placed one stroke out of first, finishing second with an 88. Rodriguez placed third with an 89.
As a team, Fernley placed fifth with a 508 while Dayton took seventh with a 519. Truckee won with a 482 and was followed by Lowry (487), North Tahoe (494) and Manogue (501). Whittell was fifth with a 512.
Other individual Lyon County scorers were: Yerington -- Kevin O'Keefe 101, Kyle Frade 120, Ryan Rife 95, Kevin Kerwin 104.
Dayton -- Robby Janas 98, Shane Castro 106, Trent Wood 115, Patrick Lassak 129, Tyler Wood 107.
Fernley -- Ashley Elson 97, Eric Dye 107, Jacob Dills 114, Scott Mavros 102, Ryan Clifford 117.
