Obituary: Beverly Hayes

A funeral for Beverly Hayes, 66, a Carson City resident for the past 28 years, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Walton's.

Mrs. Hayes died March 20, 2003, in Carson City. She was born Nov. 1, 1936, in Springfield, Ill., to Ralph and Eleanor Stewart Helmick.

Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Hawthorne.

Mrs. Hayes was a homemaker. She enjoyed making crafts, fishing and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Eldred, in December 2001.

Among her survivors are: husband of 37 years Terry of Carson City; sons Kenneth of Las Vegas and Robert and Ralph of Carson City; daughters Pamela Rae Branch of Olympia, Wash., and Mary Pitts of Medford, Ore.; sister Sandra Fairfield of Pima, Ariz.; 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Burial will be at Eastside Memorial Cemetery in Minden.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
