Wild horse adoption program

The Comstock Wild Horse Gentling Program, housed at the Warm Springs Correctional Center in Carson City, is holding a competitive bid adoption of gentled horses at 10 a.m. today.

There are 14 horses up for adoption, eight were gathered by the state and six were gathered by the Bureau of Land Management. There are 13 geldings and one mare. The horses have been in training for 80 to 90 days and each horse is at a different level of training.

Guests may not wear blue jeans, blue work shirts or blue denim jackets and must observe all posted Center rules. Bring a stock trailer with you the day of the adoption.
