The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:
-- Roberto Ruiz-Avendano, 28, unemployed of Salem, Ore., was arrested at 9:15 a.m. Friday in the 800 block of East Musser street on two warrants for suspicion of failure to appear in court and felony possession of a controlled substance. His bail was set at $10,000.
-- Crystal Marie Marler, 39, an office worker from Carson City, was arrested at 7:40 p.m. Thursday in the 2700 block of Carmine Street on suspicion of gross misdemeanor child abuse. She is accused of hitting her 11-year-old son with a hanger. Bail was set at $2,500.
-- Victor Lopez Duran, 25, unemployed from Corona, Calif., was arrested at 11:52 p.m. Thursday in the 1700 block of North Carson Street on suspicion of felony drug trafficking, possession of drugs for sale, possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia. Bail was set at $250,000.
