Four ceremonies remembering members of the armed forces who have lost their lives in service to their country will be held by the Marine Corps League and the Carson High School Naval JROTC color guard, bugler and rifle squad.
-- Memorial Day observance at 10 a.m. at the Virginia City Cemetery.
-- Memorial Day observance at 11 a.m. at the Dayton Cemetery.
-- Memorial Day observance at noon at Lone Mountain Cemetery in Carson City.
-- Memorial Day observance at 1 p.m. at the Stewart Cemetery.
-- A 1 p.m. service, with a color guard by the Nevada Air National Guard will follow the noon service at Lone Mountain Cemetery. This service will be followed by the grand opening of new Lone Mountain Cemetery offices.
-- Memorial Day ceremonies at the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery at 11 a.m. in Fernley. Congressman Jim Gibbons will attend.
-- Steam Train rides at the Nevada State Railroad Museum, 2180 S. Carson St., 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Call 687-6953.
