Robert Christman, 81, a Carson City resident for the past 20 years, died Oct. 30, 2003, at Evergreen Health Care Center. He was born Nov. 1, 1921, in Nebraska to Edward and Margaret Yaeger Christman.

Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Arizona and Tahiti.

Mr. Christman enjoyed stamp collecting and coins. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Among his survivors are his nieces, Faye Tanner of Bothell, Wash., Betty Leacock of Battleground, Wash. and Carol Abbott of Houston, Texas, and nephew, Mark Abbott of Spokane, Wash.

No service will be held.

Inurnment will be at the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Fernley.

Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory. FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
