It was a big day for several local products and All-American tailback Dusty McGrorty for McGrorty broke an NAIA record on Saturday in a season-ending 35-12 win over Eastern Oregon in football. Douglas High graduate Brandon Griffith also had an outstanding game for Southern Oregon.

McGrorty ran for a career-best 303 yards and scored four touchdowns. He set a new NAIA rushing record for touchdowns with 75. Douglas High graduate Marc Garcia and Carson graduate David Tippett, both offensive linemen, helped pave the way.

Griffith went 9-for-13 passing for 137 yards and threw a 4-yard touchdown pass. He was also 2-for-2 on extra points. The Raiders racked up 517 yards of offense.

The Raiders (5-4) won their fourth straight and clinched a fifth consecutive winning season.
