A service for Jack L. Farris, 62, a Carson City resident for the past 10 years, will be at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.

Mr. Farris died Nov. 30, 2003, in Carson City. He was born July 2, 1941, in Tulare, Calif., to John and Marjorie Rooney Farris.

He married Charlene Dowler.

Before moving to Carson City, he was a longtime resident of Modesto, Calif.

Mr. Farris was self-employed for 25 years. For the past 10 years, he worked for Radtke Tile in Carson City. He loved playing keno at the Carson Nugget.

He was preceded in death by his son Terry.

Among his survivors are his wife of 42 years of Carson City; sons Tim and Kevin Farris of Modesto and Ed Farris of Sacramento; and seven grandchildren.

Cremation will be at Walton's Sierra Crematory. Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
