Carson High graduate Ryan Bauman is making his mark as a starting receiver for Division I-AA Drake University in football this season.
Bauman, a redshirt senior, is a starting receiver for the Des Moines, Iowa school. His highlight so far this season has been a 20-yard touchdown catch in a 38-24 win over William Penn.
During the previous two seasons, Bauman played behind All-American Aaron Overton. Last season, Bauman caught six passes for 105 yards and had a 15-yard touchdown catch against San Diego. Drake (2-1) will play on Saturday against Wisconsin-Platteville.
