Colton Mellows had a goal and an assist and David Sturgess and Justin Grimm also scored as the Douglas varsity boys soccer team (6-3-1, 3-1 in league) defeated Reno.
The Tigers other goal came on a penalty kick by goalie Chase Zumpft that was forced by Iani Dunbar. Zumpft posted five saves.
DOUGLAS JVS 8, RENO 1
Brendan Carlson had three goals and one assist, Mike Gransbery and Nicke Cohee each had a goal and an assist, Chris Aguilar added two assists, Mike Barnes scored two goals and Josh Vega had a goal for the Douglas junior varsity boys soccer team (4-2-1, 3-1). Steve Done and Chris Aguilar combine in goal to post two saves.
