Dayton volleyball sweeps Fernley


Michelle Bowman had a strong all-round match, serving for 14 points and three aces while recording two kills, one block, two digs and 20 assists as Dayton (6-0, 5-0 in the Northern 3A) beat Fernley 25-9, 25-12, 25-14.

Also for Dayton, Carey Kytle had 16 kills and five blocks, Amanda Ring served for 11 points and one ace and had one kill and three digs, Sarah Connett served for two points and had one block, 17 assists and five digs, April Thompson had six kills and three digs, Danielle Rodriguez served for 10 points and an ace and had eight digs, Amanda Sbragia had eight kills and three blocks, Nicole Greer served for five points and one ace and had one kill and one dig, Tricia Moli had seven kills, Vienna Cabrita had five digs and Natalie Malekos served for seven points and had four digs.

Fernley won the junior varsity match while Dayton won the freshmen contest.
