A funeral service for James W. Huntington, 85, a Carson City resident for more than 35 years, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.
Visitation will be there from 1-7 p.m. today.
Mr. Huntington died April 10, 2004, at Carson-Tahoe Hospital. He was born Feb. 12, 1919, in Courtland, Kan., to Orville and Bianka Flesher Huntington.
He attended high school in Kansas and one year of vocational college.
He married Frances Poorman in 1991.
Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Fresno, Calif., and Reno.
Mr. Huntington was an exhibits technician for the state of Nevada. He was a member of the Model T Club of Carson City and New Beginnings Christian Church in Washoe Valley.
He served in the U.S. Army as a master sergeant during World War II.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Wanita in 1986; and two brothers.
Among his survivors are his wife of Carson City; stepsons David Robards of Reno and Tom Robards of Sparks; stepdaughter, Linda McMahon of Colorado Springs, Colo.; sister, Mildred H. Keyser of Reno; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Burial will be at Lone Mountain Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to New Beginnings Christian Church, 145 Esmeralda Drive, New Washoe Valley.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
