A celebration of life for Mary J. Posnien, 90, a Reno resident for the past 45 years, will be 11 a.m. Friday in the Meditation Chapel at Mountain View Cemetery, 435 Stoker Ave., Reno.
Visitation will be from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Friday at the Walton's Funeral Home, 875 W. Second St., Reno.
Mrs. Posnien died April 11, 2004, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Reno. She was born May 10, 1913, in Knight, Wyo., to Thomas and Mary Jane Davis Phipps.
Before moving to Reno, she lived in Sparks and Ogden, Utah.
Mrs. Posnien was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family, baking, crafts and scrapbooking.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Adolph in 1999; eight sisters; and one brother.
Among her survivors are her daughters Mary Jane of Carson City and Robbie Taft of Reno; son and daughter-in-law, Kim and Debbie; grandchildren John, Travis, Nicole and Ashley; and great-grandchildren Payten and Neil.
Walton's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
