Despite numerous tips, investigators on Thursday said they were still no closer to unraveling the mystery surrounding the death of a Carson City man.

"We are still doing everything we possibly can to try to resolve this," said Lt. Mike Allen of the Nevada Department of Public Safety Investigations Division. "We've gotten several new leads every day - we're just not getting anything substantial at this time."

The body of Daryl St. George Tilley IV, 33, of Carson City, was discovered by a couple Sunday evening as they walked their dog three miles east of Virginia City some 200 yards off Six Mile Canyon Road.

Detectives with the Department of Public Safety are treating the death as a homicide because they aren't sure how the married father got to the isolated location - his truck is missing.

The whereabouts of the 1988 Chevrolet Silverado pickup might hold clues, said Investigations Division Lt. Mike Allen.

Tilley, who was known to work on a fishing boat in Alaska, was last seen the week of April 12 in Reno and Silver Springs.
