Leroy John Netzel, 86, a Carson City resident for the past 30 years, died Aug. 25, 2004, at Evergreen Nursing Home in Carson City. He was born Aug. 25, 1918, in Crandon, Wis., to Robert and Ruth Netzel.
He married June Daum Oct. 24, 1938, in Oshkosh, Wis.
Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Bishop, Calif.
Mr. Netzel was a retired construction carpenter.
He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Jr.; and sisters Ruth Netzel and Emily Predeth.
Among his survivors are his wife and daughters Loretta L. Netzel and Rebecca Kunow and granddaughter, Rachel Kunow, all of Carson City.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
