A service for Harriet M. Eaton, 89, a Gardnerville resident for the past 14 years, will be at 10 a.m. today at FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home.
Mrs. Eaton died Dec. 5, 2004, of a long-term illness.
She was born July 22, 1915, in Willisten, N.D., to Charles D. and Sena Marie Smith.
Mrs. Eaton was retired, but volunteered for 12 years at the Carson Valley Food Closet. She was a Lutheran.
She was preceded in death by her husband Darrel L. on June 2, 1982.
Among her survivors are her daughters Diane R. Malone of Minden, Janice C. Graham of South Lake Tahoe, Melody L. Carlson of Granite Bay, Calif., and son, Darrel L. Eaton of St. Louis.
Burial will be at Eastside Memorial Park.
