John Paul Rojas

John Paul Rojas, 47, a Gardnerville resident for the past 16 years, died Dec. 23, 2004, at Washoe Medical Center in Reno. He was born Jan. 2, 1957, in Sacramento, to Paul and Mary Rojas.

He attended school in Sacramento and completed his education in the U.S. Marine Corps in which he served for four years.

Mr. Rojas moved to Gardnerville from the San Francisco Bay area to work for Aervoe Pacific. He helped move the company to Nevada. He retired after 15 years in July 2003 with a medical disability.

Among his survivors are his best friend, Roberta Simon of Gardnerville; sons John Paul Jr. and Seth D., daughter, Lynsey M. Rojas and his children's mother, Mary M. Rojas, all of Carson City; parents; brother, Joe, and sisters Anna Rojas, Rose Ann Rojas, Jean Marie Rojas and Lisa Bohrer, all of Sacramento; five nieces; two nephews and one great-nephew.

A memorial celebration and party will be held at a later date.

Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory.

Memorial contributions may be made to a memorial fund for John at Nevada State Bank, Account 440042141.

FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
