Noble T. Murray

Noble T. Murray, 84, of Hobson, Mont., died Dec. 17, 2003 at Central Montana Guild Nursing Center. He was born May 4, 1919, in Suffolks, Mont., to John A. and Gladys Lillian Stedman Murray.

He graduated from Fergus High School, Mont., in 1938. He attended the University of Nevada, Reno, from 1961to 1964.

Mr. Murray was an independent real estate appraiser in Nevada and past president of the National Association of Independent Realtors. He wrote historical articles for the Lewistown News-Argus, and recently wrote the book, "Sixteen Horse." He was a member of the Masons, Shriners, Eagles, Elks, ESW and the American Legion.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1940 to 1945 and attained the rank of sergeant.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Cathy Jeanne Murray-Taylor.

Among his survivors are his sister, Vera Jean Trambel-Wallace of Hobson; brother, Donald H. of Escondido, Calif.;, and granddaughter, Krissy Taylor of Reno

His funeral and internment, with military honors, will be at Fort Harrison, Mont.

Creel Funeral Home of Montana is in charge of arrangements.
