Ruth Cossman, 87, a Nevada and South Lake Tahoe area resident for the past 24 years, died Jan. 5, 2004, at Mountain View Care Center. She was born April 20, 1916, in Roundup, Mont., to James and Lilly Duffy Putnan.
Before moving to this area, she lived in the Los Angeles area for most of her life.
Mrs. Cossman was a homemaker. She was an artist and enjoyed television and reading. She was a Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her three brothers.
Among her survivors are her daughter, Janet Boute of Boydton, Va.; and son, Allen Frazier.
No service will be held.
Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory.
