Nominations are now being accepted for individuals to serve on the Lake Tahoe Basin Federal Advisory Committee.
Nominations will be accepted by the U.S. Forest Service, Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit until Feb. 1.
Representatives on the 20-member committee will be selected from the following sectors:
Gaming.
Environmental.
Natural resources.
Ski resorts.
North Shore economic and recreation interests.
South Shore economic and recreation interests.
Resort associations.
Education.
Property rights advocates.
Member-at-large.
Science and research.
Local government.
Washoe Tribe.
State of California.
State of Nevada.
Tahoe Regional Planning Agency.
Labor interests.
Transportation.
Member-at-large.
Appointments will be made by the Secretary of Agriculture.
