Angeline Kocher, 73, a longtime Dayton resident, died Jan. 18 of cancer. She was born Nov. 27, 1930, in Norman, Okla., to Bess and Able Duff Underwood

She and her husband owned and operated the Pine Shack Frosty during the 1960s in Chester, Calif., then later moved to Reno and later to Dayton.

Mrs. Kocher was a checker at Scolari's Market in Carson City until retiring in 1995. She was preceded in death by sister, Helen Almendinger.

Among her survivors are her husband of 50 years, Bob; daughter and son-in-law, Dinah and Cal Eilrich of Fernley; son and daughter-in-law, Rob and Cathie of Reno; grandchildren C.J. and Erika Eilrich and Christopher and Megan Meilstrup; great-grandson, Jayden Eilrich; sister, Ruth Turner of Westminster, Calif.; brother, Bill Underwood of Barstow, Calif.; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

At her request, no funeral will be held. A private family memorial will be at a later date.

Capitol City Cremation and Burial Society is in charge of arrangements.
