Burton and Jackson are honored

Galena High's Amy Jackson and Kellie Burton have been named to the Western Athletic Conference's fall All-Academic team for the University of Nevada.

To be eligible, student-athletes must have at least a 3.2 cumulative grade point average and have participated in at least 50 percent of the team's contests. Jackson, a junior, has a 3.22 G.P.A. in nursing. Burton, a junior, has a 3.5 G.P.A. in journalism.
