Virginia E. Rutherford, 84, a Washoe Valley resident for the past 24 years, died July 16, 2004, in Reno. She was born June 1, 1920, in Los Angeles.
She married Fred C. Rutherford Jan. 14, 1966, in Las Vegas.
Among her survivors are her husband of Washoe Valley; daughters Sharon Peckham of Vancouver, Wash., and Virginia Lawerance of Cucamonga, Calif.; son, Michael McCarty of Columbia City, Ore.; sisters Phyllis Mayhaver of Azalea, Ore., and Lenore Spargo of North Hills, Calif.; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchildren.
A private memorial service will be at Walton's. Inurnment will be at Walton's Carson Gardens Cemetery.
