Aloysius L. "Al" De Felice

A graveside service for Aloysius L. "Al" De Felice, 94, a Carson City resident for the past 25 years, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Lone Mountain Cemetery.

Mr. De Felice died June 5, 2004, in Carson City. He was born Feb. 19, 1910, in Niagara Falls, N.Y., to Sylvio and Rose Manganella De Felice.

He married Julie De Martino-Guerriero on Aug. 20, 1931.

Before moving to Carson City, he lived in the California San Fernando Valley.

Mr. De Felice managed three Sinclair paint stores in the San Fernando Valley. During World War II, he was supervising manager of the storage facility for the Norden bombsite at Rome Army Air Depot (Griffiss Air Force Base).

He single-handedly built a lakeside cottage, enjoyed auto mechanics, football, auto racing and smoking stogie cigars. He loved music and played saxophone and trumpet in several bands including the Carson City Community Band.

Among his survivors are his wife of 73 years and son and daughter-in-law Angelo and Mary De Felice of Carson City; stepdaughter, Phyllis Lewus of Utica, N.Y.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
