The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court.


• Luis Eduardo Ayala, a 20-year-old painter from Reno, was arrested at 2:32 a.m. Monday in the 700 block of Hot Springs Road. He was charged with attempted grand larceny and burglary, both felonies. He was also charged with two gross misdemeanors for destruction of property and possession of burglary tools as well as a misdemeanor possession of false identification. According to the police report, he attempted to steal a car.


Jorge Alcantar, a 26-year-old Reno foreman, was arrested at the same time and place and charged with possession of stolen property and accessory to burglary, both felonies. He was also charged with a misdemeanor contributing to a delinquency of a minor.


Ayala's bail was set at $55,382. Alcantar's bail was $50,632.


• A 25-year-old Carson City mechanic was arrested at 5:03 p.m. Sunday in the 300 block of Eighth St. He was arrested on charges of domestic battery, and bail was set at $3,132.


• Joseph Charles Samter, 39, of Dayton was arrested Sunday in the 800 block of East Musser Street on a stalking violation warrant. His bail was set at $10,000.


• A 29-year-old Carson City man was arrested on charges of being a drunken pedestrian at 6:20 p.m. Sunday on the corner of Fall and Corbett streets. His bail was set at $72. His dog was taken to Animal Control.
