Motorcyclist dies in Genoa accident

A 52-year-old motorcyclist died Saturday after being struck by a pickup truck in front of the Genoa Post Office, on Highway 206.

Sgt. Alfred Alessandra of the Nevada Highway Patrol said Billy Hobbs of Minden was traveling southbound on Highway 206 when 53-year-old Patrick Carver of Genoa failed to yield to a stop sign in his silver Dodge Dakota.

The accident happened at about 10 a.m. Hobbs died shortly after. He was riding a 2001 Victory motorcycle.
