John Riley McGill, a 15-year western Nevada resident, died March 11, 2004, in Carson City. He was 75.
Mr. McGill was born March 16, 1928, in North Carolina to John Henry and Ella Mae Morton McGill.
He married Rosa Lee McGill, who preceded him in death on Oct. 20, 2001.
Mr. McGill retired as purchasing director for the cities of Pasadena and Lakewood, Calif. He was a retired Navy veteran of the Korean War.
He moved to Dayton one year ago, having lived in Carson City for 14 years.
He is survived by daughter, Roseann McGill of Dayton; son John Richard McGill of Arizona; brother William McGill of South Carolina; and five grandsons.
Cremation is at Walton's Sierra Crematory in Carson City. Walton's Chapel of the Valley in Carson City is in charge of arrangements.
