A memorial service for Patrick L. "Mickey" Kelly, 72, a Carson City resident for the past 34 years, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.

Visitation is from noon-7 p.m. Friday and Saturday until the service.

Mr. Kelly died May 3, 2004, in Carson City. He was born May 21, 1931, in Spokane, Wash., to John F. and Marie J. Klein Kelly.

He married Betty Jo Hall on Sept. 4, 1958. She preceded him in death in 1999 in Carson City.

Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Garden Grove, Calif., for more than 20 years.

Mr. Kelly was a correctional sergeant at the Nevada State Prison for 19 years. He was a member of the Spokane Valley Rifle and Pistol Club, the Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, Rifle and Pistol Club, the Coeur d'Alene Muzzleloaders Club and a lifetime active National Rifle Association member.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by grandson Jesse Carlson.

Among his survivors are his daughters Annette McHone, Vicki Havard, Kathleen Wheat, April Finley and Shannon Swanbeck; brothers John of Alaska and Danny of Hawaii; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Cremation will be at Walton's Sierra Crematory.
