A funeral for Juan C. Alegria, 23, a Carson City resident for the past 16 years, will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Thursday at Walton's.

Mr. Alegria died May 25, 2004, at Washoe Medical Center. He was born May 27, 1980, in San Salvador, El Salvador, to Jose Daniel and Lucila Ramirez Alegria.

Before moving to Carson City, he lived in El Salvador.

Mr. Alegria worked at Radtke Tile and Marble in Carson City with his father. He enjoyed all sports.

He served in the U.S. Navy.

Among his survivors are his parents of Dayton; sisters Socorro Alegria of Dayton and Alba Alegria of Carson City; and brothers Jose D. Jr. and Gerardo E., both of Dayton, and Rene A. of Carson City.
