Amy Beaupre and Keston Denny of the Carson-Douglas Rodeo Club got off to a solid start in a new season for the Nevada State High School Rodeo Association.
Beaupre and Denny both had solid performances during Sunday's go-round in a rodeo in Alamo. Beapre, a senior at Virginia City High School who lives in Dayton, teamed with Denny, a Douglas High senior who qualified for this past summer's National High School Rodeo Finals, to take ninth in team roping in 12.73 seconds. Beaupre also took third in girls cutting on Sunday with a score of 73.
