A service for William Richard Page, 78, a Mound House resident for the past 12 years, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Good Shepherd Wesleyan Church in Carson City.

Mr. Page died Sept. 29, 2004, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Reno.

He was born Feb. 22, 1926, in Decatur, Ill., to Ralph and Mary Hicks Page.

Mr. Page was an income-tax preparer.

He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, the Coast Guard Auxiliary, Rear Commander and Good Shepherd Wesleyan Church.

He served in the U.S. Navy, attached to the U.S. Marines, during World War II.

He was preceded in death by his brothers W. Lee and Harold.

Among his survivors are his wife, Maxine of Mound House; daughter and son-in-law, Glenda and Jack Wilson of Blythe, Calif.; sons and daughters-in-law Randy and Kerry of Yerington and Robert and Elaine of Lolita, Calif.; sister, Leona Oetgen of Oregon; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Cremation will be through Reno Memorial Crematory.

There will be a ceremony with military honors at Fernley Veterans Cemetery at a later date.

Reno Memorial is in charge of arrangements.
