A funeral for Asuncion F. Pura, 87, a Carson City resident for the past 20 years, will be at 2 p.m. today at FitzHenry's Chapel of Faith.
Mrs. Pura died Sept. 11, 2004, at Carson-Tahoe Hospital. She was born Aug. 15, 1917, in the Philippines to Victoria Velarde.
She married Gregorio Pura in 1935 in the Philippines.
Before moving to Carson City, she lived at South Lake Tahoe.
Mrs. Pura enjoyed singing, dancing and her grandchildren. She was a Catholic.
She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers and two sisters.
Among her survivors are her sons Ray of Vista, Calif., Roly of Carson City and Allan and Rainer, both of Las Vegas; daughters Luz Pura and Lydia Pura of Carson City; sister, Maria Dones of the Philippines; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Burial will be at Lone Mountain Cemetery.
FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
