Lydia Mailander's hitting and Chelsea Appelbaum's serving helped lead the Galena High volleyball team to a sweep of Spanish Springs 25-11, 25-18, 25-16 on Thursday.
Mailander had 11 kills while Appelbaum served for seven aces. Mailander added two aces, five digs and three blocks and Appelbaum added five digs and four kills.
Also for Galena (20-2), Nancy Burrows had seven kills, two aces and three blocks, Michelle Drury had six kills, Julia Mailander had four kills, Thalia McCann had 16 assists and five digs, Kate Wallace had 12 asists, Margot Ward had seven digs and Katelyn Zuppan added three blocks.
