The Carson High boys soccer team must have thought it entered the Twilight Zone on Wednesday.

Despite controlling the play for the most part, the Senators were on the other side of a lopsided score as they were stunned in a 4-1 loss at Wooster. Even though Carson outshot Wooster 25-10, the Senators found themselves down 4-0 before Zach Weisman scored Carson's only goal.

Carson fell to 2-2 in the Sierra League, heading into a touch two-game stretch at Reno High on Saturday and at Douglas this Wednesday. Wooster improved to 3-1. Reno beat Douglas 2-1 on Wednesday.

"Soccer is one of those games that you can play totally dominate a game and end up losing," Carson coach Jason Koop said.

"We had the run of play. But again we couldn't find the back of the net. We've got to figure out that issue."

Koop said the league appears to be wide open. "It should be a good match," said Koop about facing Reno.

RENO 2, DOUGLAS 1

Miles DeLaurentis scored the only goal for Douglas (5-2, 2-2) in the loss at Reno High. Goalies Steve Done and Chris Aguilar combined for eight saves.

CARSON JVS 5, WOOSTER 1

The Carson junior varsity boys soccer team outshot Wooster 34-2 on its way to the win. Alex Updegrove scored twice and Drew Good, Colter Thomas and Jason Mather all scored for Carson.

DOUGLAS JVS 2, RENO 2

Oscar Gonzalez scored on an assist from Geoff Rahe and Leo Bravo scored as the Douglas junior varsity boys soccer team battled to a tie against Reno. Kyle Gardner also played well defensively for Douglas (4-2-1).
